In the Sicilian town of Taormina, an aspiring writer searches for the inspiration he needs to shape his voice. There he meets a folk singer struggling to create a follow-up to her breakout hit. Drawn together by an easy chemistry, the two begin to collaborate, pushing one another to turn uncertainty, longing, and closely held secrets into something they can finally express.
