In post-World War II Venice, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot has retired and lives in self-imposed exile. Drawn reluctantly to a Halloween seance inside a decaying, supposedly haunted palazzo, he is pulled back into investigation when one of the guests is murdered. Surrounded by shadows and secrets, Poirot must once again search for a killer.
