Famed architect Le Notre is charged with creating a palace for King Louis XIV that seems to transcend beauty. To help build the grand gardens of Versailles, he hires landscape gardener Sabine de Barra to design and construct an outdoor ballroom. As they work together, attraction grows between them, while court rivalries around the king complicate their ambitious project.
