When her mother leaves on a business trip, a young girl is left at home with her older brother and sees her neighbor being kidnapped. But her brother and the police do not believe what she witnessed. Determined to help, she turns to a veteran New York detective and begins investigating the case herself, even as her search puts her in danger.
