In the summer of 1986, a determined teenage boy tries to prove himself among the Jr. Lifeguards of Hermosa Beach. As he pushes for acceptance within the group, he must also navigate the relationships, pressures, and personal challenges that come with growing up during a season that tests his confidence and sense of belonging.
