In the afterlife, the deceased soul Ja-hong and his three guardians prepare for the final trials that will determine his chance at reincarnation. As one guardian guides a man through the judgments ahead, the other two return to Earth to help a former guardian. Their separate duties soon draw them toward a buried truth about their own tragic lives 1,000 years before.
