Mr. Freeze is desperate to save his dying wife, and his plan leads him to kidnap Barbara Gordon, also known as Batgirl, to use her as an involuntary organ donor. With time running out before the operation can begin, Batman and Robin race to track her down and stop Freeze before his desperate attempt to save one life costs another.
