After two decades away, explorer Bruce Wayne returns to 1920s Gotham City with a terrible burden: he has accidentally awakened an ancient evil. Taking up the mantle of Batman, he confronts Lovecraftian supernatural forces threatening the city, while crossing paths with allies and enemies including Green Arrow, Ra’s al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Two-Face and James Gordon.
