At a tough penitentiary, weary inmate Joe Collins struggles to survive under the control of Captain Munsey, a sadistic chief guard who rules through fear and force. As Munsey’s grip tightens over Collins and the other prisoners, Joe holds on to one hope: escape. Pushed by abuse and desperation, he begins to plan a rebellion against the power-mad guard who keeps them all in chains.
