A covert smuggler of black market goods is drawn into a dangerous arrangement when the CIA seeks his help in connection with Flight TWA 800 and a Nicaraguan blackmail attempt against the agency. In the aftermath of the release of Dark Alliance by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Gary Webb, he becomes entangled in a secretive effort to contain damaging claims and protect the CIA from exposure.
