Independent Gilda is caught between Tom and George, two men who both love her, and she cannot bring herself to choose one over the other. After jealousy gives way to an uneasy understanding, the three agree to try living together as friends in a platonic arrangement. But when Gilda faces the prospect of a dull married life, Tom and George return and offer her a freer, more exciting life with them in Paris.
