On the island of Haida Gwaii in northern Canada during the 19th century, a fishing gathering is shattered when Adiits’ii commits a tragic act that causes the death of his best friend’s son. Overcome by grief and guilt, he flees into the wilderness, where isolation and torment begin to pull his mind toward madness.
