Angus Buchan, a Zambian farmer of Scottish heritage, leaves his farm amid political unrest and racially charged land reclaims, moving his family to KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, in search of a better life. Starting over with little more than a mud house, he faces mounting hardship as his life slips into chaos, until an unexpected harvest begins to change everything.
