After being declared dead and taken to a hospital morgue, Jason Voorhees suddenly revives and escapes. Back near Crystal Lake, he turns his attention to the Jarvis family and a group of carefree friends renting a countryside house nearby. As the teenagers settle in for their getaway, Jason begins stalking them with the same relentless vengeance that has followed the lake for years.
