George Simmons is a famous, wealthy comedian who has spent years giving little thought to the way he treats the people around him. After a doctor tells him he has a terminal, inoperable health condition, George begins to reassess his life and his priorities. Looking for a real connection, he takes aspiring stand-up comic Ira under his wing as his opening act, and an unlikely friendship starts to form.
