Cape Town couple Katherine and Hugh are on their way to a private mountain getaway when they stop for Liza, a striking young hitchhiker with a gun and an unsettling presence. After they invite her to join them for lunch, what begins as a brief encounter turns increasingly tense, as Liza refuses to leave and the couple starts to wonder who, or what, they have brought into their lives.
