A gunfighting stranger rides into the small settlement of Lago and quickly draws the attention of the townsfolk after killing three gunmen who try to take his life. With three dangerous outlaws on their way, the anxious residents hire him to protect the town. In return, the Stranger forces Lago to prepare an unsettling, garish welcome for the men who are coming.
