In Memphis, a pimp facing a mid-life crisis begins to imagine a different future for himself. With help from his friends, he sets out to turn his ambition into music and make a serious attempt at becoming a successful hip-hop emcee. As he pushes toward a new identity, his hopes depend on whether talent, determination, and support can move him beyond the life he already knows.
