In a small abandoned town in Iceland, a young man and two women move in to renovate an old house, unaware that the place carries a dark history. Elsewhere, after an older woman hangs herself in a church, a new psychiatrist learns she was fixated on the disappearance of his eight-year-old son, who vanished three years earlier. As the house restoration continues, the visitors begin to realize they are not alone.
