Young orphan Stephen is sent to live with his much older cousin, a strange man who resides in a remote country house. Isolated in the unfamiliar home, Stephen begins to suffer terrible dreams that grow increasingly disturbing. In them, he sees a young girl and a young boy, both appearing without their hearts, as the house takes on an unsettling mystery.
