Born into a poor family, Fanny Price is sent to Mansfield Park to live with her wealthy uncle Sir Thomas Bertram, his wife, and their four children, so she can be raised for a proper place in society. Though most of the Bertrams treat her as an outsider, her cousin Edmund shows her kindness. The arrival of the worldly Mary and Henry Crawford soon complicates Fanny’s uncertain life among her relatives.
