College student Bailey Kershaw comes home for the summer expecting to settle back into familiar family life, but finds that her mother, Tina, has moved quickly with a new boyfriend, Hugo. When Tina announces plans to marry him right away, Bailey grows uneasy about how fast Hugo has become part of their home and her mother’s life, and struggles to accept his sudden place in the family.
