Retired bachelor Mr Hoppy quietly longs for his neighbor, Mrs Silver, but her attention belongs almost entirely to Alfie, her beloved pet tortoise. As Mr Hoppy struggles to find a way into her heart, he comes up with an audacious plan that he hopes will make Mrs Silver notice him and perhaps see him as more than just the man next door.
