In 1959 Paris, a troubled but gifted American jazz musician seeks refuge from the problems he left behind in the United States. At the Blue Note nightclub, the aged and ailing saxophonist pours his pain into the music, while a young Parisian with no money to get inside listens from the street. Their chance connection grows into a friendship that offers support, solace, and the possibility of one last creative spark.
