In 2001 Afghanistan, life under Taliban rule leaves a young girl and her family with few choices. When her father is captured, she can no longer move freely or help provide as herself. Determined to keep her family going, she disguises herself as a boy, taking on a dangerous new role in a world where survival depends on courage and secrecy.
