During World War II, Germany carries out Operation Bernhard, the largest counterfeiting operation in history. At the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Jewish counterfeiter Salomon Sorowitsch is coerced into assisting the Nazi scheme, forced to use his skills in service of a regime that has imprisoned him.
