In the 1970s, Rodney Alcala carries out a series of grisly murders while presenting himself as intelligent, charming, and smooth-talking to the world around him. As the grieving mother of one of his victims searches desperately for answers and justice for her daughter, Alcala continues to hide in plain sight, even appearing as a bachelor on the television show The Dating Game.
