In 1970s San Francisco, 15-year-old Minnie Goetze is an aspiring comic-book artist trying to understand herself and the world around her. Curious, restless and caught in the haze of adolescence, she seems like a typical teenage girl in many ways, except for one dangerous secret: she has entered into an affair with her mother’s boyfriend.
