During World War I, a German U-boat sinks a British passenger ship and brings the survivors aboard. When the submarine becomes lost in fog and strays off course, it surfaces near the unknown island of Caprona. Cut off from the world they know, the crew and survivors discover a strange lost land inhabited by dinosaurs and Neanderthals.
