After a happy childhood in rural Lincolnshire with a foster family, Femi, a British teenager of Nigerian heritage, moves to inner-city London to live with his birth mother. In an unfamiliar new world with different expectations, culture and values, he struggles to find where he belongs while facing the pressures of adolescence and deciding what kind of man he wants to become.
