Gavin Stone, a washed-up former child star, is ordered to complete community service at a local megachurch. Hoping to turn the situation to his advantage, he pretends to be a Christian so he can win the role of Jesus in the church’s annual Passion Play. But as he becomes part of the production, Gavin begins to realize that the most important role in his life may have little to do with Hollywood.
