After a random school shootout kills both his daughter and the shooter, a scientist turns to an experimental use of nano-robots in search of answers. By entering the memories of a psychopath, he hopes to understand what drives violent behavior and whether it can be treated. His investigation becomes a personal attempt to trace the roots of violence through the mind itself.
