A lawyer pushed to the edge by a nervous breakdown makes a drastic break from his own life. Instead of returning to his wife and the routine he knows, he withdraws from everything and hides away in his attic, living there for months as he separates himself from the world below and from the marriage he has abruptly abandoned.
