Successful mystery novelist Richard “Rick” Castle is drawn into real police work when a serial killer begins imitating the plots of his books. With permission from the Mayor of New York City, Castle joins an NYPD homicide investigation team for research, teaming with Detective Kate Beckett as they tackle complex murder cases.
