In the early 1950s Cotswolds, Father Brown serves as a Roman Catholic priest in the fictional village of Kembleford while using his distinctive insight to investigate local crimes. In Season 2, his efforts bring him into conflict with the new Inspector Sullivan as darker cases test his instincts, including an exorcism, an abduction, a poisoning and a murder that threaten his own livelihood.
