At the height of the 1950s Lavender Scare, charismatic and ambitious political staffer Hawk meets Tim, a pious idealist working in the same world of power and scrutiny. Their attraction grows into a risky, volatile romance that stretches across decades, following the men from their first connection through changing times and into the AIDS crises of the 1980s.
