In 1990s suburban Orlando, a Taiwanese family builds a life in America while navigating the everyday clashes and surprises of a new culture. At the center is a hip-hop-loving Asian kid growing up between home and school, raised by an immigrant father fascinated with all things American and an immigrant mother often bewildered by white culture.
