In 1990s suburban Orlando, a Taiwanese family works to build a life in America while navigating the everyday surprises of a new culture. At the center is a hip-hop-loving Asian kid growing up between home and school, with an immigrant father who embraces all things American and an immigrant mother who is often puzzled by the white culture around them.
