After unfreezing time, nihilistic mad scientist Rick and his anxious grandson Morty return to a family life already strained by their chaotic adventures. Their domestic troubles only grow as new inter-dimensional mishaps pull them into encounters with alien parasites, alternate versions of Jerry and a decaying dimension that may not even exist.
