Best friends Mo and Jen, second-generation Chinese-Canadian and Filipino-Canadian millennials, continue life on their own in a shabby city triplex. No longer leaning on their overprotective families, they try to prove they can handle adulthood, even as the people they grew up with move into careers, marriages, and more settled lives.
