After leaving the city, the dysfunctional Phelps family settles in a small town and moves into a house with a horrifying past. While everyone else seems oblivious to the terrible atrocities that took place there, Patricia “Pat” Phelps begins to sense that something is wrong. As her behavior changes, Pat wonders whether she is depressed or possessed, only to find the symptoms may look exactly the same.
