After serving 15 years in prison, an ex-con is released for good behavior and returns to his Brooklyn neighborhood expecting the place he once knew. Instead, he finds a world that has moved on without him and a community transformed by gentrification. As he tries to adjust to life outside, the changes around him make his fresh start feel anything but simple.
