Mildred Hubble lives an ordinary life until Maud Spellbody crashes her broomstick into her balcony and introduces her to Cackle’s Academy, a school for young witches set high on a mountaintop. As Mildred tries to find her place in this magical new world, mayhem and mishaps seem to follow her everywhere, but with help from her friends she usually manages to avoid disaster just in time.
