When their father is transferred to Japan, impulsive 16-year-old Holly is sent to live with her older sister Valerie in New York City. Valerie is 28, tightly organized, and used to running her life her own way, while Holly is spontaneous, rambunctious, and anything but orderly. Under one roof, the sisters love each other deeply, but quickly learn that being siblings may be easier than being roommates.
